Procurement Assistant

About the role

The Procurement Assistant will support the procurement team in sourcing, negotiating and acquiring goods and services needed for the organization. This role ensures that purchases are made in compliance with company policies, budgets and timelines while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing, negotiating and procuring goods and services in accordance with company policies.
• Prepare purchase recommendations, process purchase orders and monitor order status to guarantee timely delivery.
• Coordinate with operations, plant, logistics and finance teams to clarify requirements.
• Support procurement activities related to logistics, CAPEX and OPEX as required.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases and contract documentation.
• Assist in supplier evaluation, accreditation and performance monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, budgets and applicable regulations.
• Support inventory coordination and cost‑control initiatives.
• Perform other procurement‑related tasks assigned by the Procurement Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant procurement or purchasing experience.
• Experience in logistics procurement and/or CAPEX/OPEX sourcing is preferred.
• Relevant procurement or supply chain certifications (e.g., CPP, CIPS, CPSM) are a plus.
