Private Tutor – One‑to‑One Academic Coaching

About the role

JDN Tuition is seeking a dedicated Private Tutor to deliver personalised one‑to‑one lessons. You will work on‑site, adapting teaching methods to each learner’s level, goals, and interests.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver individual lessons across core subjects such as Mathematics, English or Science.
• Explain concepts clearly, guide practice, and assign meaningful homework or revision tasks.
• Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate regularly with families or guardians about learning goals and outcomes.
• Collaborate with the tutoring team to share best practices and stay current with curriculum requirements.

Required profile

• Strong subject knowledge in one or more core areas and ability to simplify complex ideas.
• Proven tutoring or teaching experience, preferably one‑to‑one or small‑group settings.
• Excellent communication, active listening and interpersonal skills.
• Effective lesson planning, goal setting and time‑management abilities.
• Student‑centred, growth‑mindset approach with patience and empathy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, the relevant subject area, or equivalent practical experience.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Metro Manila and adapt to after‑school or occasional weekend schedules.
