Principal Specialist, Procurement

About the role

The Principal Specialist, Procurement will act as a Subject Matter Expert for Non‑Product Procurement within RTX’s Collins Aerospace division. Working in a hybrid setting, you will lead strategic sourcing initiatives, manage contract governance, and drive value across a range of indirect spend categories.

Key responsibilities

• Execute projects in partnership with Centers of Excellence and site stakeholders, delivering sourcing strategies such as RFP/RFQ/RFI.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to develop and implement sourcing plans that meet productivity targets.
• Ensure compliance with RTX standard terms, company policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations.
• Negotiate contracts, statements of work and service level agreements with suppliers, collaborating with Legal, GT and ECO.
• Manage contract governance to minimize risk, ensure compliance and optimize outcomes, including implementation of MSAs/MTA.
• Analyze spend, demand and market trends to support strategic decisions and identify process improvements.
• Utilize CORE tools to maintain business continuity and mitigate supply risks.
• Coach and review work of junior procurement professionals.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in non‑product procurement and supplier performance management.
• Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
• Strong negotiation and contract governance experience.
• Proven capability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset for spend analysis and market trend evaluation.
