Principal Auditor – Group Audit (Validations) – AVP

About the role

Deutsche Bank is seeking a Principal Auditor for its Group Audit function in Manila. The role focuses on the Validation book of work, partnering with the Validations Principal Audit Manager to assess findings, manage risks, and support senior management with actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct walkthroughs of finding validations, identify risks and controls, and design test plans.
• Assess materiality of exceptions and draw conclusions.
• Monitor regulatory and audit developments and disseminate knowledge across the GA team.
• Escalate emerging risks to senior management via appropriate forums.
• Build strategic internal and external relationships to enhance department performance.
• Report validation coverage status to the PAM and flag any delays or gaps.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Advanced degree (e.g., Masters, Juris Doctor) and professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CAMS, or CFE are preferred.
• Extensive experience in risk and control management, internal or external audit within financial services.
• Proven track record leading RCSA, audits, or finding validations in a fast‑paced environment.
• Preferable experience in corporate and investment banking for internal candidates.
