Global Enabling Function Controller

About the role

Arcadis is seeking a Global Enabling Function Controller to take ownership of Enabling Function reporting areas, apply judgement to financial analysis, challenge variances and provide stakeholders with clear insight and practical recommendations. The role operates with increased autonomy within a multinational, sustainable‑design environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly review of Enabling Function costs, including personnel and indirect costs, ensuring accurate reporting for the Group and regional entities.
• Review and challenge monthly accruals and reclassification journals, escalating risks and proposing corrective actions.
• Analyse salary reconciliations and bonus accruals, delivering variance analysis and explaining key drivers.
• Coordinate plan and forecast reporting, consolidating data and providing commentary for Group, Regional and GBA reporting.
• Prepare and review Enabling Function reports, highlighting variances, trends, risks and opportunities.
• Document reporting processes, lead improvement initiatives and contribute to global standardisation.
• Act as a trusted finance contact for Global EF Controllers, FP&A Directors and Finance Directors, resolving queries and supporting decision‑making.

Required profile

• CPA qualification with 5–7 years of experience in general accounting, controlling, management and financial reporting.
• Experience in a shared‑services or multinational environment is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive team player, detail‑oriented and results‑driven, able to work flexible hours.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• ERP systems experience, preferably Oracle or SAP.
