Medical Virtual Assistant Trainer (Remote, Part‑Time)

About the role

The Medical VA Trainer will lead live, remote training sessions for aspiring medical virtual assistants. You will prepare students to handle real‑world healthcare VA tasks, ensuring they understand medical terminology, privacy regulations, and basic office workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct live training sessions covering medical terminology, HIPAA, PHI, and patient privacy.
• Teach fundamentals of insurance, EMR systems, scheduling, billing, and prior authorizations.
• Facilitate practical exercises, simulations, and mock work‑day activities.
• Guide students during internship and integration periods.
• Evaluate performance, provide constructive feedback, and help develop professional communication skills.

Required profile

• Experience as a Medical VA, Healthcare VA, medical trainer, or related healthcare professional.
• Strong understanding of U.S. healthcare processes and HIPAA regulations.
• Excellent English communication and confident public speaking.
• Patient, organized, and able to teach beginners.
• Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup.
