Training Specialist

About the role

Manulife is hiring a Training Specialist in Quezon City, working with Canada Retirement Operations. The role covers identifying training needs, delivering product and process training to new hires and cross-training globally, and managing training queues so that work meets turnaround times.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Canada Retirement Operations to identify training needs and map out annual training plans for internal teams.
• Facilitate product and process training for new hires and cross-training globally, using instructor-led classroom (in-person or virtual), desk-side, hands-on, coaching and mentoring methods.
• Develop and implement training curriculum, training plans and production glide paths.
• Recommend improvements to staff knowledge inventory based on sound data.
• Update and maintain training documentation in line with policies and procedures.
• Manage training queues effectively so that no work falls out of turnaround time.

Required profile

• At least one to two years of experience in Canada Retirement Operations.
• Excellent training delivery skills, including facilitation of product and process training through various methods.
• Ability to develop and implement training curricula and plans, and to recommend improvements to staff knowledge based on data.
• Strong organizational, work management and time management abilities, with the ability to manage training queues to meet turnaround times.
• Professionalism, work ethics, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with e-learning software is an asset.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and methodologies is an advantage.
