Manager II, Accounts Payable

About the role

The Manager II, Accounts Payable leads the Finance Shared Services AP organization, overseeing invoice processing, payments, intercompany transactions, and a dedicated AP team. This senior position drives strategic direction, digital transformation, and operational excellence across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for AP functions, set departmental goals, and manage performance metrics aligned with corporate objectives.
• Oversee end‑to‑end AP processes, ensure high‑quality service delivery, and monitor key metrics such as invoice cycle time, payment timeliness, and supplier satisfaction.
• Develop and execute continuous‑improvement roadmaps, leveraging automation, AI, and ERP enhancements to reduce invoice holds and improve Procure‑to‑Pay efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and regulatory requirements; support internal and external audits.
• Build strong partnerships with finance leaders, procurement, operations, and suppliers to optimize working capital and resolve payment issues.
• Prepare executive‑level reports, KPI dashboards, and strategic recommendations for Finance Shared Services leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large AP or finance shared‑services teams, with a focus on process improvement and digital transformation.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to collaborate with finance, procurement, operations, and supply‑chain leaders.
• Deep knowledge of AP best practices, internal controls, and regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX).
• Ability to analyze performance data, identify risks, and drive data‑based decision‑making.
• Experience managing talent, succession planning, and employee engagement within a finance function.
