Intermediate Tax Accountant

About the role

TOA Global is seeking an experienced Intermediate Tax Accountant to provide elite technical authority on Australian taxation for its Philippine offices. You will manage complex compliance matters, from Div7A and international tax issues to R&D incentives, ensuring client portfolios are optimized and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage accurate financial statements, working papers, and annual tax returns for Australian tax clients.
• Provide expert advice on CGT, FBT, complex income tax obligations and resolve intricate tax matters such as bucket company obligations, UPE management, and international tax dealings.
• Own the lodgment program, proactively chase working papers and manage multiple client portfolios with precision.
• Utilize Xero, Xero Practice Manager, OneDrive, Outlook and advanced Excel for data analysis, reporting and workflow efficiency.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of dedicated experience in Australian tax accounting.
• CPA, CA or equivalent tax qualifications with deep knowledge of Australian accounting standards.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented professional able to meet strict deadlines independently.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Xero and Xero Practice Manager.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Excel.
• Experience with PDF editing tools and cloud‑based document management (OneDrive, Outlook, Teams).
