Junior IT Support Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior IT Support Specialist to join Consertus in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The role will serve as the first point of contact for technical issues, providing timely assistance to both internal teams and client projects while ensuring smooth day‑to‑day IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve Level 1 support tickets covering hardware, software, and network problems.
• Maintain and optimise network infrastructure and server performance.
• Perform hardware and software installations, upgrades, and system configurations following company standards.
• Provide remote assistance and guide users through step‑by‑step troubleshooting.
• Monitor data backup processes and support security tasks such as user access management and firewall administration.
• Assist with systems integration and implementation activities to ensure efficient deployment.
• Configure and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and QoS solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a help‑desk or technical support role.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
