Junior Data Engineer – Build Scalable Data Pipelines

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimise high‑performance data pipelines for both structured and unstructured data, including sensor and image feeds. You will work closely with data scientists and engineering teams to enable advanced analytics and AI‑driven automation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and optimise data structures and architectures to ensure availability, accessibility and performance.
• Design, implement and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for diverse data sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts and engineers on AI and advanced analytics projects.
• Translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Introduce new technologies and improve existing data architecture.
• Design, implement and operationalise agentic workflows and AI orchestration systems (e.g., MCP, multi‑agent systems, autonomous pipelines).
• Contribute to cross‑site digitalisation and data initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
• Experience in data engineering, big data or a related discipline.
• Proven ability to build and maintain scalable data pipelines and production data systems.
• Hands‑on experience collaborating in cross‑functional AI/data‑science teams.

Required skills

• Python (including Pandas and NumPy).
• SQL.
• Relational and NoSQL databases.
• ETL and ELT processes.
• Agentic workflow frameworks (e.g., MCP, LangChain, multi‑agent systems).
