Java Developer - Bilingual

About the role

IBM Consulting is seeking a bilingual Java Developer to join its application development team. You will work on enterprise‑grade solutions that support clients’ hybrid cloud and AI initiatives, collaborating with global partners and leveraging IBM and Red Hat technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain applications using the Java/JEE stack, incorporating frameworks and languages such as Ruby or Groovy.
• Implement transaction management, manage Java objects and integrate enterprise systems.
• Apply development methodologies including dependency injection, inversion of control, aspect‑oriented programming, functional programming and test‑driven development.
• Utilize data‑access and batch‑processing frameworks to handle large‑scale data operations.
• Adopt DevOps tools and practices to streamline build, deployment and monitoring processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of enterprise applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated exposure to enterprise application development on the Java/JEE platform.
• Experience working with web development frameworks and modern programming languages.
