Freight Operations Coordinator

About the role

As a remote Freight Operations Coordinator you will provide excellent customer service to US clients, managing shipments from purchase order to delivery. The role works night‑shift hours (9 pm‑5 am EST) and collaborates with Customer Success, Sales, Pricing and Procurement teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end international freight shipments across air, sea, road and rail.
• Coordinate with clients, carriers and 3PL providers to ensure seamless cargo movement.
• Maintain accurate shipment data on the digital platform and keep clients informed.
• Monitor progress, address delays proactively and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Produce and review shipping documentation such as Air Waybills, CMRs and Bills of Lading.

• Strong communication and customer‑focused problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic, fast‑paced environments and manage time effectively.
• Detail‑oriented with critical thinking and conflict‑resolution abilities.

Required skills

• International transportation knowledge (air, sea, road, rail).
• Proficiency with digital logistics platforms for shipment updates.
• Expertise in shipping documentation: Air Waybills, CMRs, Bills of Lading, invoices, packing lists.
• Familiarity with international trade regulations and customs compliance.
• Operational analytics to track shipment metrics and drive process improvements.
