Dynamometer Operator – US Navy Program (Diego Garcia)

About the role

Amentum is seeking a qualified Dynamometer Operator to support a unique US Navy program located on the island of Diego Garcia. The role involves operating, maintaining, and ensuring the safe use of a high‑performance dynamometer system in accordance with strict safety and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate all aspects of the dynamometer system following operational guidelines and procedures.
• Perform routine setup, calibration, and preventive maintenance to maximize system efficiency.
• Monitor system parameters to meet testing and diagnostic requirements.
• Troubleshoot, document, and report any malfunctions or performance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of operational activities, maintenance tasks, and test results.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations during all operations.

Required profile

• Proven training and qualification in dynamometer operation.
• Ability to work independently and safely in an austere OCONUS environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to travel internationally.
• Pass contract medical requirements and maintain them for the deployment duration.
