Resident Engineer

About the role

Bosch Group is looking for a Resident Engineer to act as the primary technical liaison between Bosch’s headquarters in Reutlingen and its OSAT partners in the Philippines. The role will ensure that all technical directives are understood, implemented and tracked, while driving quality and continuous improvement on semiconductor packaging lines.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as daily technical communication bridge between Bosch and Philippine subcontractors, aligning requests and ensuring proper execution.
• Perform line audits, process confirmation checks, and material control to guarantee compliance with Bosch specifications.
• Lead failure analysis, 8D reporting and material review boards to resolve customer returns and non‑conforming material issues.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives, change management, NPI ramp‑up support and yield‑improvement projects.
• Monitor logistics, capacity constraints and KPI performance (Yield, Incoming Quality, Product Reliability) on assigned production lines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in semiconductor assembly, testing or packaging engineering within an OSAT or multinational electronics manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of semiconductor packaging, materials and tooling.
• Expertise with quality tools: SPC, FMEA, 8D problem‑solving, Cpk analysis and MSA.
• Familiarity with automotive‑grade quality standards such as IATF 16949 and AEC‑Q100.
