Digital Modeller, Geotechnical

About the role

Aurecon is looking for a Geotechnical Digital Modeller to translate technical intent into coordinated, constructible digital models. You will work within the Global Design Centre to optimise asset design and support the company’s Digital Futures agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 2D and 3D digital models that reflect engineering intent and project specifications.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers and clients to ensure models are accurate, safe and sustainable.
• Apply Aurecon’s digital and quality standards, leveraging cloud collaboration and federated modelling.
• Produce drawings and model outputs that feed into larger project deliverables.
• Train and mentor less‑experienced drafters in technical and 3D drafting practices.
• Plan resources for small or short‑term project components, adhering to cost, quality and safety considerations.

Required profile

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in 2D drafting (CAD) and 3D modelling (Revit).
• Ability to interpret and expand technical details from drawings, sketches and specifications.
• Experience working across civil, electrical or mechanical disciplines.
• Understanding of quality and safety standards applied to design work.
• Strong communication skills to support client interactions and team collaboration.
