Civil Designer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Designer to support our civil and multidisciplinary engineering teams by delivering high‑quality design, drafting and modelling solutions for a variety of infrastructure projects. The role works closely with engineers and project teams to produce accurate drawings, models and technical documentation for land development, transport, drainage, subdivisions and commercial developments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare civil engineering designs, drawings and models for roads, highways, earthworks, stormwater drainage, water and sewer reticulation, car parks and subdivisions.
• Develop concept, preliminary and detailed designs, including calculations, layouts and technical reports.
• Produce accurate drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD while ensuring compliance with codes, standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate civil designs with other disciplines and monitor progress against design programmes.
• Support project delivery by identifying risks, proposing solutions and maintaining document control.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil infrastructure design and drafting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high‑quality documentation.
• Proven ability to interpret engineering sketches, mark‑ups and design instructions.
• Experience working independently and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
• Good communication skills and a proactive, solutions‑focused approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D or 12D Model.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination tools such as Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Experience with GIS platforms.
