Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Design Engineer to join our Manila team and support large‑scale infrastructure and reclamation projects. You will be responsible for structural and geotechnical design, ensuring compliance with technical standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute structural and geotechnical design, including contractor submission checks and internal quality control.
• Coordinate with design, construction management, and project control teams to support construction progress.
• Prepare technical correspondence, liaise with construction and contract administration teams, and deliver engineering services for marine facilities such as revetments, ports, and harbours.
• Perform soil investigation, testing, and design of soil improvement and coastal protection structures.
• Design elements from foundations to superstructures using reinforced and pre/post‑tensioned concrete and steel, adhering to SMEC/SJ, British, ASTM, and Philippine codes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (M&E, environmental, drainage, survey, BIM) and review CAD/drafting outputs.
• Assist in preparing specifications, bills of quantities, and tender documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience on large‑scale infrastructure or reclamation projects.
• Strong technical knowledge, excellent written and verbal English communication, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Proactive team player, self‑motivated, disciplined and resourceful.
