Data Mesh Platform Support & Operations Specialist

About the role

The Data Mesh Platform Support & Operations Specialist will ensure the reliability and smooth operation of our data mesh environment. You will act as the first line of support for data producers and consumers, handling incidents, provisioning environments, and maintaining documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve technical support tickets in ServiceNow, meeting defined SLAs.
• Diagnose and triage AWS‑related issues such as failed Glue jobs, IAM permission errors, and pipeline failures.
• Provision and configure Data Mesh environments (dev, QA, prod) and manage user access via MS Entra ID, AWS IAM, and Lake Formation.
• Assist data engineers with ingestion, data quality, and transformation pipelines built on SDLF, including Glue and Step Functions.
• Monitor AWS infrastructure health using CloudWatch dashboards and alarms, and restart critical Xtract Universal ingestions when needed.
• Participate in incident post‑mortems, document root‑cause analyses, and improve runbooks.
• Maintain and update technical runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge‑base articles in Confluence.

Required profile

• Proven experience providing technical support through an ITSM tool (e.g., ServiceNow) and adhering to SLA commitments.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services, especially IAM, S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
• Ability to provision cloud environments, manage access controls, and verify environment health.
• Familiarity with incident management processes and documentation best practices.
