Customer Sales & Service Associate – Banking Branch

About the role

The Customer Sales and Service Associate (CSSA) works at a branch to handle both financial and non‑financial transactions while promoting bank products. This role combines front‑line cash handling with proactive customer service and cross‑selling responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Process over‑the‑counter transactions such as cash and check deposits, withdrawals, bill payments, fund transfers and auxiliary services (foreign exchange, manager’s checks, remittances, debit‑card requests, etc.).
• Maintain cash limits, perform end‑of‑day balancing, and safeguard accountable forms and passwords.
• Open new accounts, conduct KYC verification, scan and file documentation, and update customer records.
• Identify opportunities to cross‑sell bank products and services, and secure approvals for transactions beyond authority limits.
• Handle account amendments, enhanced due‑diligence checks, and prepare client communications (warning, collection, and closing letters).
• Support branch operations by preparing outgoing mail, processing expense payments, and ensuring workstation and premises upkeep.
• Adhere to security, safety, health, and regulatory protocols, including social‑distancing measures.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to process transactions accurately and quickly.
• Good communication skills for explaining terms, KYC requirements, and product offerings.
• Reliability in handling cash, maintaining records, and following internal controls.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a branch environment and comply with security and safety standards.
