Civil Drafter (Stormwater and AU Residential) - Remote

About the role

A full-time remote position for a Civil Drafter preparing structural and small stormwater drawings for residential construction projects. The work uses standardized templates and drafting software, and the goal is to deliver clear, accurate technical drawings ready for construction and approval. The schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM AEST (6:00 AM to 3:00 PM AEST).

Key responsibilities

• Complete accurate timesheets using Total Synergy.
• Maintain the filing system and document control system.
• Catalogue, prepare and organise drafting detail libraries in AutoCAD LT.
• Prepare structural drafting drawings for typical residential projects and small stormwater drainage drawings.
• Draft drawings in AutoCAD LT using standard templates and formatting guidelines.
• Review project specifications and briefs to translate design intent into drawings.
• Update and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers or project stakeholders.
• Keep drawing sets consistent in annotations, dimensions and labelling, and manage file naming and revisions.
• Coordinate with team members to meet project timelines and check drawings against quality standards before submission.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or vocational diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in structural and small stormwater drafting for residential projects, or related experience.
• Solid understanding of basic structural drafting principles for residential-scale projects.
• Experience working on Australian residential construction projects is essential.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD LT.
• Familiarity with drafting to standardized templates and formatting guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills and effective written communication.
