Business Development Specialist (Grants Acquisition)

About the role

Compassion is hiring a Business Development Specialist (Grants Acquisition) to support institutional grant acquisition across Asia. The role works closely with national office teams to identify, pursue and secure funding opportunities, with a strong focus on U.S. Government and other institutional grants. It is based at the Philippines National Office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support grant-seeking pursuits across assigned countries in Asia
• Identify and assess institutional funding opportunities
• Collaborate with Finance, M&E, Program Support, People & Culture and National Leadership teams
• Build strategic partnerships that advance Compassion's mission and impact
• Support the Asia Region

Required profile

• Experience with U.S. Government grants (required)
• Background in grant acquisition, proposal development or business development
• Ability to work onsite in the Philippines National Office
• Experience working across multiple stakeholders and cultures

Required skills

• Strong English communication skills
• Grant writing and proposal development

The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with possible renewal, within a growing global Business Development team.
