Assistant Team Leader

About the role

The Assistant Store Team Leader supports the Store Team Leader in daily store operations, ensuring service quality, inventory control, cash handling and staff performance. This role helps implement the FRNK Customer Journey and steps in as the on‑duty lead when the Team Leader is unavailable.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with opening, closing and shift change procedures while maintaining store cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Support queue management, order handling, product presentation and service speed, coaching staff on greeting and product knowledge.
• Supervise MILKMAN/MILKMAID tasks, train new employees, enforce uniform and discipline standards.
• Conduct daily stock checks, receive deliveries, update records, monitor expiry dates, FIFO and waste.
• Operate POS systems, reconcile sales, prepare receipts and deposit slips, and follow cash‑handling protocols.
• Complete daily sales updates, file documents and report operational issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health certificates and store permits.
• Assist with the display and execution of promotional and local store marketing materials.

Required profile

• Prior experience in food service or retail preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work mall hours, weekends and holidays.
