Assistant Manager – Team Sports Category (Southeast Asia)

About the role

As an Assistant Manager for the Team Sports category covering Southeast Asia, you will support adidas’ regional category planning and help translate the SEA strategy into actionable portfolio recommendations. The role works across Basketball, Motorsports and Football franchises to strengthen sports credibility, deepen fan connections and drive consumer relevance in the market.

Key responsibilities

• Support translation of SEA Team Sports direction into seasonal priorities, franchise focus and commercial opportunities.
• Track category objectives, KPIs and success metrics across markets and channels, providing data‑led analysis for pricing, portfolio tracking and business reviews.
• Collaborate with Brand Activation, Commercial and Go‑to‑Market teams to ensure coordinated execution.
• Assist in franchise planning and lifecycle management, balancing credibility, productivity and long‑term equity.
• Shape portfolio architecture through depth logic, franchise roles and category focus, and report on growth, range productivity and margin performance.
• Work closely with Brand, GTM, MOPS, Analytics, Demand Planning, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to align on category priorities.
• Monitor consumer trends, competitor activity and pricing dynamics, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
• Support post‑season reviews with clear business analysis and recommendations for future cycles.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in merchandising, category, product or commercial functions, preferably within sportswear or consumer brands.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to turn data into clear actions and recommendations.
• Demonstrated curiosity, ownership, growth mindset and ability to build collaborative relationships across regional and global teams.
• Alignment with adidas values, teamwork and a consumer‑first attitude.
