AR Analyst I – Deductions Specialist

About the role

The Deductions Analyst I is responsible for independently managing and resolving a wide range of customer deductions. This mid‑level position works closely with multiple departments to address disputed claims, monitor outstanding deductions, and ensure a seamless customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Approve or deny deductions and claims based on policy, handle appeals, and assist with dispute resolution.
• Review debit information, obtain missing data from customers, and distribute credit copies and supporting documents.
• Investigate stagnant deductions, make strategic recommendations, and write denial letters.
• Provide expertise in SAP or Oracle dispute management and support escalations.

Required profile

• 4‑year college degree in finance, business management, or related field.
• 2‑4 years experience in deductions, accounts receivable, accounting, or customer financial services.
• Experience with large retailers or key accounts is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills; ability to work extended hours and holidays.
