Training Specialist – ILS2

About the role

The Unconventional is looking for a seasoned Training Specialist to support Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC) across the Indo‑Pacific region. You will design and deliver classroom, on‑the‑job and distance learning for a variety of platforms, systems and mission operations, ensuring partners are ready for both normal and degraded conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training programs (classroom, on‑the‑job, distance learning) for platforms, subsystems and mission operations.
• Support demonstrations, exercises, and operator/maintainer interfaces, including partner familiarisation.
• Produce training materials, documentation and native‑language support for global audiences.
• Coordinate training, exercises and experimentation activities with government, partner‑nation and mission stakeholders.
• Travel to multiple sites across the region as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 7 years of experience delivering training, developing training assets, evaluating effectiveness and supporting operational systems training.
• Experience coordinating with government, partner‑nation and mission stakeholders.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
