Trade Marketing Retail Associate – Production & Merchandising

About the role

The Trade Marketing Retail Associate will execute the strategies devised by the manager and coordinator, working at the grassroots level to drive volume, margins and brand awareness across the Retail Division. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams such as SSG, Cards, NFB and Treats to ensure successful implementation of promotional and merchandising initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Propose, implement and design promotional activities and merchandising items for targeted products.
• Evaluate trade proposals and recommend appropriate promotions, activations and trade assets.
• Collaborate with the sales team to conceptualise special events and programmes aligned with Marketing initiatives.
• Communicate, cascade and monitor merchandising activities and special events across assigned outlets.
• Manage implementation of company projects within budget and timelines.
• Oversee product penetration and ensure compliance with merchandising guidelines.
• Identify corrective actions for marketing program execution and monitor consistency.
• Plan and prioritise deployment of merchandising, promotional materials and trade assets.
• Monitor trade assets, coordinate repairs and handle asset movements.
• Prepare and submit closure reports for each activity.
• Analyse activity indicators and recommend competitive, cost‑effective strategies.
• Participate in annual business planning for merchandising materials and trade assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any related field.
• Preferable experience in petroleum, automotive retail, convenience retailing or FMCG industries (not mandatory).
