Technical Officer – Surveillance

About the role

The Technical Officer – Surveillance will support the EpiC Global Health Security (GHS) project in the Philippines by delivering technical assistance on disease surveillance to the Department of Health, local government units and other partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the DOH, LGUs and surveillance stakeholders to provide strategic technical assistance.
• Assist in assessments, training, capacity and systems strengthening, and resource mobilization.
• Support program review and the development of technical products such as reports, briefs and presentations.
• Liaise with project technical and management teams to ensure smooth administrative operations.
• Contribute to the implementation of surveillance‑related activities across all project sites.

Required profile

• Experience working in public health or disease surveillance environments.
• Familiarity with national health policies and strategies in the Philippines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with government agencies and implementing partners.

Required skills

• Knowledge of surveillance systems and public health data collection.
• Report writing and presentation preparation.
