Tax Specialist – Corporate Tax Compliance

About the role

The Tax Specialist will support and manage the company’s tax compliance and reporting obligations in the Philippines. Working closely with the finance team, you will ensure timely filing of tax returns, assist during audits, and keep the organization updated on regulatory changes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file national and local tax returns (Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Taxes, etc.) accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain audit‑ready tax records, filings and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with the Bureau of Internal Revenue, SEC and local government units on tax matters and submissions.
• Monitor tax deadlines, ensure timely payment of taxes and regulatory fees.
• Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of tax‑related general ledger accounts and support calculation of current and deferred tax provisions under PFRS.
• Support tax audit processes, organize documents for examinations and respond to tax notices.
• Research updates in Philippine tax laws and regulations, and advise management on compliance and process improvements.
• Help develop tax policies, procedures and internal controls, and contribute to training initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field.
• CPA license preferred but not mandatory.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on tax experience, preferably in financial services or banking.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax regulations and filing requirements.
• Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
