Tax and Compliance Manager

About the role

The Tax and Compliance Manager will lead tax compliance and reporting for Aboitiz Power’s renewable energy assets, including run‑of‑river, solar and wind projects. The role ensures accurate VAT recovery, statutory reporting, and adherence to debt covenants while supporting the company’s sustainability mission.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee tax accounting, compliance, and reporting for renewable energy assets.
• Manage tax audits, assessments, and claim processes.
• Ensure loan covenant compliance and coordinate tax‑related documentation.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks across the business.
• Provide tax education, planning, and advisory services to internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with other departments and business units to deliver accurate financial reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; CPA preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of tax compliance and planning experience.
• At least three (3) years of leadership or people‑management experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and flexible hours.
• Detail‑oriented with good interpersonal abilities.
