Systems Engineer – Server & Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

The Systems Engineer will design, install, operate and maintain both on‑premise and cloud‑based servers, ensuring high availability, security and performance for the organization’s digital infrastructure. This role supports a large user base and provides on‑call assistance in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Windows AD, application and database servers.
• Manage Azure AD and Office 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business.
• Administer hypervisors such as VMware and Hyper‑V.
• Deploy and secure thin‑client devices.
• Work with blade servers and storage solutions (SAN, NAS).
• Implement and maintain backup and restore solutions both on‑premise and in the cloud.
• Integrate on‑premise servers with cloud infrastructure and apply security patches and vulnerability remediation.
• Provide operational support to multiple clients, adhere to SLA commitments and participate in on‑call rotation.
• Maintain documentation and perform audits for client environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related field or equivalent.
• ITIL, CompTIA A+ or TESDA Computer System Servicing NC II certifications are a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in system administration, covering Windows servers and hybrid cloud environments.
• Proven experience with Azure AD, Office 365, VMware/Hyper‑V, blade servers and storage technologies.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) and provide on‑call support.
