Systems and Network Administrator – Microsoft 365/Azure (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Systems and Network Administrator to be a key technical pillar for a managed IT environment. The role offers genuine breadth across servers, networking, cloud, security and direct client relationships, all while working 100% remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Keep client network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless) running at peak performance and security.
• Own Windows and Linux server administration end‑to‑end – installations, updates, patching, and performance tuning.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure services, including licensing, Identity, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams and Purview.
• Use modern RMM tooling to anticipate issues before they become incidents.
• Build and maintain security and compliance posture to protect client data.
• Plan, implement and test backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Serve as the trusted technical voice for clients, solving problems and recommending improvements.
• Maintain clear documentation and reporting for both internal teams and clients.
• Partner with hardware and software vendors to resolve issues quickly.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in systems and network administration.
• Strong depth in Windows Server and Linux environments with solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS).
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Hands‑on Microsoft 365 and Azure administration experience.
• MSP or multi‑client support experience is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSE, CompTIA Network+) are a bonus.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analysis and diagnostic instincts.
• Strong communication skills and a client‑facing, customer‑service mindset.
