System Support Officer

About the role

The System Support Officer will manage POS application projects, ensuring production support, compliance, and continuous improvement of payment solutions. This role bridges business requirements, card‑brand standards, and regulatory mandates while providing on‑site support for the bank’s POS ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with vendors to define business and technical requirements for POS application development or enhancements.
• Validate that delivered applications meet specifications and do not disrupt existing functionalities.
• Oversee resolution of terminal software bugs identified during SIT and UAT, ensuring smooth deployment to production.
• Prioritize development work based on business needs and compliance requirements.
• Provide training to users on terminal operating procedures and software features.
• Monitor, document, and coordinate resolution of all POS issues within agreed service levels.
• Ensure merchant partnerships comply with card‑brand and regulatory requirements and communicate policy changes to business units.
• Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned and mentor team members in line with BDO CORE values.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
• At least 3 years of experience in hardware, software, and POS implementation or maintenance, preferably within a bank or financial institution.
• Willingness to work onsite in Ortigas.
