Supply Chain Associate

About the role

Pontoon is looking for a Supply Chain Associate in Manila who leads supplier chain workstreams for new client implementations and expansions of existing regional and global MSP programs. The role oversees the full implementation, from design to closeout, and hands off completed deliverables to the Supplier Operations Center of Excellence so they are delivered on time, within scope and budget. It also ensures supply chain processes are efficient and aligned with the Global Supply Chain Strategy, while accounting for regional differences.

Key responsibilities

• Use data, statistics, industry benchmarking and business experience to recommend supply chain and strategy improvements.
• Partner with program management teams to run supplier summits or forums.
• Keep track of supplier business practices, competencies, innovation, growth potential, compliance and adherence issues, adding transparency to regional initiatives.
• Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory requirements and supplier management methodologies.
• Deploy Rules of Engagement to minimise risk, ensure compliance and nurture authentic partnerships.
• Drive the Supply Chain Management workstream, supporting new client implementations and program changes such as contractual updates, geographic expansions and service enhancements.
• Maintain ethical, equitable relationships with global and regional suppliers and communicate regularly with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least four years of professional experience, including two years in global MSP roles with documented progressive responsibility; experience in MSP, services procurement or contingent workforce is preferred.
• Experience with contractual negotiations.
• Open to working any shift.

Required skills

• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green, Yellow, Black Belt or Master)
• Prince2 certification
• Strong project management, analytical and spend management skills
• Ability to influence teams and communicate clearly with leadership, clients and suppliers
