Strategic Buyer – High‑Spend Category

About the role

The Strategic Buyer will lead sourcing initiatives for high‑spend categories, ensuring cost‑effective procurement while maintaining supplier performance and compliance with Nestlé’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement category sourcing strategies using Nestlé’s Strategic Sourcing Process.
• Conduct market, category and risk analyses to support sourcing decisions.
• Lead negotiations and contract execution to secure optimal total cost and commercial terms.
• Manage and maintain supplier relationships and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business needs and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with Nestlé Procurement Policy, Supplier Code and related standards.
• Drive cost optimisation, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers.
• Oversee contract management and procurement processes, including SAP and Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) workflows.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing and category management.
• Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with business stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of procurement compliance and supplier performance metrics.
