Senior Manager, Audit

About the role

Syvip Gorres Velayo & Co. (SGV), the largest professional services firm in the Philippines and a member firm of Ernst & Young, is hiring a Senior Manager for its Audit practice in Makati City. The role leads audit engagements, applies audit techniques to complex matters and guides junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and in related financial reporting matters, as well as in relevant SEC, BIR, BSP and IC regulations.
• Apply current audit techniques to carry out complex audit procedures while leading teams or parts of teams on engagements.
• Identify areas of risk within the client's business and define the appropriate audit approach.
• Arrange discussions with clients, give authoritative advice and build relationships with client personnel.
• Provide leadership, judgment and administrative direction to the audit team.
• Create a positive learning culture, coach and counsel junior team members and support their personal and professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
• At least 10 years of work experience in external audit.
• At least 8 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in the Philippines.
