Senior Kubernetes Engineer (EKS)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Kubernetes Engineer with deep expertise in Amazon EKS to join our managed services team. You will be the primary escalation point for production clusters, ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement of our cloud platform.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on incident response and long‑term mitigation for EKS production environments.
• Manage cluster upgrades, add‑ons, node groups, and capacity planning.
• Enhance observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch and improve runbooks to reduce MTTR.
• Lead post‑incident reviews, mentor junior engineers, and conduct pair‑troubleshooting sessions.
• Participate in a 24/7 global on‑call rotation to maintain “always‑on” reliability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on Kubernetes experience in production.
• Deep expertise with Amazon EKS, including CoreDNS, CNI, Ingress controllers, and autoscaling.
• Strong Linux and networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, load balancing).
• Proven troubleshooting skills for pods, resource constraints, and rollout failures.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash for automation.
