Rolling Stock and Depot Advisor – Operations & Maintenance

About the role

Surbanajurong is seeking an experienced Rolling Stock and Depot Advisor to lead the design, commissioning and operational readiness of railway depots, test tracks and training facilities. The role focuses on ensuring safe, efficient and compliant railway operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee planning, design and commissioning of maintenance depots, test tracks and training centres.
• Develop and implement operational readiness plans for commercial launch.
• Review tender documents, technical proposals and designs related to rolling stock and depot systems.
• Create maintenance strategies, including predictive and preventative schedules for rolling stock.
• Coordinate interfaces between depot/rolling stock and other railway systems such as signalling, track and power supply.
• Design training programmes and build capacity for operations and maintenance personnel.
• Verify compliance with safety standards, regulations and certifications.
• Lead on‑site technical investigations of accidents, incidents or failures.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of experience in railway operations and maintenance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Deep knowledge of rolling stock, depot systems and maintenance protocols.
• Strong familiarity with international railway safety and inspection best practices.
• Experience with projects in GCC or Southeast Asia is highly desirable.
