Project Engineer

About the role

The Project Engineer will oversee daily operations on utility project sites, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role is critical to delivering water and related infrastructure projects that meet strict quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site activities, coordinating trades and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress against budgets, schedules and specifications.
• Implement and maintain project controls, track claims and administer contracts.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Lead multiple concurrent projects while maintaining high quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional engineering licence.
• Minimum three years of project management experience in the water or utility sector.
• Strong understanding of project controls, claims handling and contract administration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High commitment to safety and knowledge of relevant regulations.
