Production Operator

About the role

We are seeking a Production Operator to join our manufacturing team at Microchip Technology. The role involves operating and maintaining equipment that supports the production of semiconductor components, ensuring quality and efficiency on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Set up welders and production machines, and troubleshoot minor setup issues.
• Perform 6S activities before and after each shift, either manually or semi‑automatically.
• Monitor processes using visual checks, statistical process control (SPC) and sampling tests according to specifications.
• Enter production data into computer systems, track lot quantities and categorize rejected parts.
• Make decisions based on existing specifications and criteria, and report any safety or quality concerns.
• Carry out additional tasks as required while adhering to standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliability in attendance and willingness to wear required protective equipment.
• Adaptability to frequent changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
