About the role

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Operator I to join its manufacturing team. This entry‑level position supports the production of semiconductor components and ensures smooth operation of the DPG‑HRDS system.

Key responsibilities

• Perform 6S activities before and after each shift.
• Operate the DPG‑HRDS system manually or semi‑automatically.
• Monitor process visuals, SPC charts, and conduct sampling tests according to specifications.
• Enter production data into AX, e‑logsheets, SPC, and Qualis systems.
• Account for lot quantities, categorize rejected parts, and maintain accurate records.
• Make decisions based on existing specifications and criteria.
• Assist with additional tasks as required.

Required profile

• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proven success working both independently and within a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Excellent listening and adaptability to frequent changes.
• Regular, predictable attendance and willingness to wear required protective equipment.
• Basic computer, math, and reading comprehension skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
