Microsoft 365 Consultant – Architecture & Migration Leadership (Remote)

About the role

Working within the Infrastructure Team and reporting to the Head of Infrastructure, the Microsoft 365 Consultant will lead the design, architecture and delivery of Microsoft 365 transformation programmes, guiding customers from on‑premises environments to a modern, cloud‑driven workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end architecture and roadmap for Microsoft 365 adoption, producing high‑quality HLDs, LLDs, migration blueprints and governance documentation.
• Own migration strategy for Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams workloads, assess legacy environments and define remediation sequencing.
• Oversee delivery of M365 services including Exchange Online migration, SharePoint transformation, OneDrive rollout and Teams deployment with governance.
• Implement Microsoft Purview solutions such as DLP, sensitivity labels, retention and compliance policies.
• Engage with customer stakeholders to define business outcomes, run design workshops and guide licensing optimisation and adoption planning.

Required profile

• Proven background designing and leading Microsoft 365 migrations at scale.
• Ability to produce high‑level and low‑level designs, runbooks and architecture diagrams.
• Strong expertise across the Microsoft 365 stack: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams and Microsoft Purview.
• Deep understanding of hybrid identity, Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA and Zero Trust principles.
• Experience leading engineering teams and providing technical direction.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
