Mechanical Project Engineer – Construction Management

About the role

The Mechanical Project Engineer will lead the execution of construction projects within the MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire) division. Reporting to the construction management group, the role ensures that design plans are accurately reviewed and that on‑site activities align with project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Review project plans to identify potential clashes and propose corrective actions before construction begins.
• Supervise MEPF activities, coordinating both internal construction teams and external contractors.
• Collaborate with on‑site teams and satellite‑office designers to maintain alignment throughout project phases.
• Engage MEPF consultants when specialized input is required.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare investigative reports for change orders in partnership with the Quantity Surveying team.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in construction management, preferably within MEPF projects.
• Strong analytical skills to anticipate design conflicts and assess change‑order impacts.
• Effective communication skills for coordination between design, on‑site, and consultancy teams.
