Head of Retail Operations

About the role

The Head of Retail Operations will lead the performance, profitability and operational excellence of all retail locations within the Gastronova portfolio. Reporting directly to executive leadership, this senior role shapes strategy, upholds brand standards and drives growth initiatives such as new store openings and market expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations across multiple retail and hospitality sites.
• Develop and execute strategies that increase sales, improve profitability and enhance efficiency.
• Establish and maintain best‑in‑class operational standards for every location.
• Analyse sales, labor, inventory, productivity and financial metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure exceptional guest experiences by consistently applying service and brand standards.
• Recruit, coach, mentor and develop store leadership teams.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, HR and other functions to meet business goals.
• Manage inventory, stock optimisation, loss prevention and compliance.
• Lead planning and execution of new store openings, expansions and special projects.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations and other legal requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in retail or hospitality operations.
• Proven track record of driving sales growth, profitability and operational efficiency.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial and performance data.
• Hands‑on leadership style with excellent coaching and team‑development skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and influence senior stakeholders.
