Fleet Supervisor

About the role

The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the entire truck fleet operation, ensuring efficient use of vehicles, proper maintenance, and compliance with safety standards. This role leads the dispatch team, drivers, and related field staff while coordinating daily logistics activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and route trucks to maximize productivity and driver efficiency.
• Maintain and monitor fleet maintenance records, GPS tracking, and pre‑trip/post‑trip documentation.
• Ensure SOPs and safety policies are consistently applied.
• Coordinate with clients and partner forwarders to ensure smooth transportation flows.
• Motivate and organize the workforce to meet productivity targets.
• Monitor driver and vehicle activities, including accident and incident reporting.
• Oversee driver induction, training, and performance appraisals.
• Maintain accurate administrative records and inventory of vehicle expenses, fuel, parts, and supplies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any field, preferably Logistics or Operations.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in logistics, transport, or e‑commerce operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and manage multiple tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of truck parts, basic troubleshooting, and vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and route fleets effectively.
