Failure Analysis Engineer - Electronics

About the role

STMicroelectronics is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer to manage and perform EFI activities on product failure analysis, both operational and engineering. The role involves leading gap analysis, evaluating new machines, and developing new methods while interfacing with product divisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and perform EFI activities on product failure analysis (operational and engineering).
• Lead gap analysis, evaluate new equipment, and develop new analysis methods.
• Coordinate with product divisions and manage transfer plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electronics, electrical, or microelectronics.
• At least 5 years of experience in schematic design, electrical analysis, electrical simulation, or analog systems.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, high sense of responsibility, and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication and teamwork with global R&D, divisions, and labs.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of electronics theory and practice.
• Familiarity with analysis instruments such as auto curve tracer, thermal analysis, EMMI/OBIRCH, wave generator.
• Ability to analyze electronic schematic documents.
• Good command of English.
