Engineer II – Product

About the role

Microchip Technology is seeking an Engineer II – Product to drive yield improvement and quality management for its semiconductor products. The role supports product health, capacity growth, and the qualification of new devices and test programs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead yield improvement initiatives and manage quality activities.
• Investigate product health issues and implement corrective actions.
• Qualify new devices, test programs, and test boards.
• Support customer returns, product reliability analysis, and optimization of test specifications and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet departmental goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C++ programming.
• Understanding of hardware architecture.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and problem‑solving methodologies.
