Deskside Technician II – Onsite IT Support

About the role

Join the Run and Support team as a Deskside Technician II, providing on‑site hardware and software assistance in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You will ensure minimal downtime on the shop floor by quickly resolving break/fix issues and supporting critical business events.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile phones, tablets and AV/conferencing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair system failures, peripheral issues, and network connectivity problems, including VPN support.
• Perform regular checks of meeting rooms to guarantee full functionality of AV and conferencing technology.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot IT, AV and conferencing tools during company events, townhalls and urgent activities.
• Implement endpoint security measures, manage virus detection and eradication.
• Maintain accurate asset records, CMDB tagging and conduct physical inventory audits.
• Assist users with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, Outlook) and configure mobile devices.
• Collaborate with onsite and remote teams, participate in on‑call rotation and overtime as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of corporate desk‑side support experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
• Experience with mobile device support (iOS and Android) and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Familiarity with Azure Active Directory, Intune and remote device management.
• Understanding of asset management and inventory control processes.
