Senior Software Manager (Embedded)

About the role

We are partnering with a global engineering and technology leader expanding its team in the Philippines. The Senior Software Manager (Embedded) will lead high‑impact embedded software development, shaping teams, driving delivery excellence, and influencing innovative products used worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering managers, technical leads, and software engineers delivering embedded software solutions.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery, ensuring programs are on time, on quality, on specification, and on cost.
• Work closely with hardware, product, and test teams across global engineering functions.
• Provide technical leadership in software architecture, design, and engineering best practices such as CI/CD, unit testing, and code quality.
• Act as a key communication point for senior stakeholders, delivering clear updates, progress tracking, and escalation management.
• Drive team performance by removing blockers, resolving critical issues, and ensuring delivery continuity.
• Build, mentor, and develop a strong engineering team, supporting career growth and capability development.
• Promote continuous improvement in tools, processes, and software development practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline with at least 3 years of technical leadership or people‑management experience.
• 10 + years of embedded software development experience using C/C++.
• Strong experience in bare‑metal and RTOS‑based development environments.
• Deep understanding of modern SDLC practices (Agile, CI/CD, TDD, version control).
• Experience managing delivery with tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams in a global environment.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical topics to senior stakeholders.
