CAD Operator – Civil & Structural Design

About the role

The CAD Operator will support civil and structural design projects by producing accurate 2D and 3D drawings, managing documentation, and ensuring design integrity. This position works closely with the Planning team and Design Engineers to translate sketches and specifications into detailed CAD deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare 2D & 3D CAD drawings for roads, drainage, embankments, bridges, and viaducts, including volume calculations.
• Maintain both soft and hard copies of all project CAD documentation in chronological order.
• Review design sketches and notes, raise clarification questions, and obtain approval from the CAD Manager.
• Print, check, and verify hard‑copy drawings for dimensions, chainages, elevations, and sections.
• Incorporate marked‑up corrections from design checks and update original drawings accordingly.
• Follow established CAD standards and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Planning team or Design Engineer.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of drafting or CAD experience in civil/structural projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
